Music
and its affects
People
think music is just sounds and words. But it is must more than just some lyrics
someone came up with one night, or some random beats an artist tapped out on
their leg. No matter what kind of music it is. whether it is hardcore metal or
smooth jazz, music affects everyone differently and no one has the same experience.
Music is an escape to a different world, a place where nothing can hurt or
worry you. We all have this place we go to when we hear a great song, or our
favorite song and you know the feeling. People have many different music tastes
and we should all appreciate all verities of music and judge no one. Just
because there may be a music style that you may not like, does not mean you
should judge other people for listening to it. We should open our mind to new
music and try it at least once. In the end , it maybe your favorite music
style. Music has different affects on people veering from how it makes them feel,
to helping with a health related issues, and even relive and cause stress.
Music
has different affects on people such as how it makes them feel. From my own experiences
that different music has various affects on people. And I don't just mean the
sound, it's the words and beat and your emotion at that moment that has the
most affect on you. Also the emotion you are feeling will affect what you are
in the mood to listen to, which could be from country all the way to death
metal. But the one thing they have in common is the way they make you feel
while listening to them. Whether you need to relax from a stressful day, or get
pumped up for a big game you are about to play in. Music can do so much more
then we think, and only when you realize how much more a song means to you and
lose yourself in it, you will never know the feeling. Getting lost in a song is
just listening and letting yourself drift away to the beat and words.
Forgetting all your problems for just a couple of minutes is relaxing and helps
when you are in a real bad situation or hard time, music is the remedy for all.
Songs that may sound sad or bring memories back, but may help you in the end.
There is no such thing as bad music, there is only music that you prefer and
that help you the most no matter the situation. Music helps all in any
situation, and can only help when you need it the most. I feel music is the
only way to truly feel better, if not help then at least start the healing
process and finish it.
Music
has different affects on people such as helping with health related issues. "Specific brain disorders can affect the
perception of music in very specific ways. Experiments done on epileptics
decades ago showed that stimulating certain areas of the temporal lobe on both
sides of the brain awakened "musical memories"--vivid re-creations of
melodies that the patients had heard years earlier. Lesions in the temporal
lobe can result in so-called musicogenic epilepsy, an extremely rare form of
the disorder in which seizures are triggered by the sound of music. Autism
offers an even greater puzzle. People with this condition are mentally
deficient, yet most are proficient musicians; some are "musical
savants" possessed of extraordinary talent.1" But these are not the only health issues music can help
with. And not only does it help with physical issues, but all so mental issues such as depression
and boost brain function. Music stimulates the brain so you can think better
and as said before remember better. The Greeks and three therapeutic myths they
thought was the best way music helps. One is both your soul and or body is restored
to a state of equilibrium, to temper excess or emotions. The second is creating
a sense of pleasure through movement. and the third myth is purges the soul of
emotional conflict. They also thought music penetrates the mind, the body and
the soul. it seems there are many different ways that music can help medically,
and I feel it should be used more. If music help me through a tough time or
make me feel better emotionally, why can't it help people with real problems?
Music
has different affects on people such as to relive and cause stress. Music has
many affects one people, but whether they are good are bad is up to that person
to decide. Normally when you think of music, you think of song that may boost
your mood or a song that just makes you feel good. This is not always the case
though, because you may hear a song that may bring back memories that make you
sad or angry. Again brings up the point that music affects different people and
so many different ways and it is always unpredictable. We may never be able to
predict what music affects us the most, but we can remember what song do affect
us and use them to our advantage. We do all we can to avoid stress in our everyday
lives, but the sad thing is that we can never escape stress. it is an everyday
thing whether it be at work, at home, or even on the road. But sometimes we may
be in these stressful times and certain music does not help. Sometimes it hits
our stress nerves and make it worse. The good this though is, as soon as music
made your stress worse, it can take it away in one song. It may seem all bad
till that one song comes on and makes you as happy as can be. Music is a
powerful thing, and we can use it in good and bad ways. I say this because
music is used as a torture device in interrogation to get information say from
a terrorist. Certain music, after listened to for a certain period of time, can
break the will of people and make them talk. One example is "if you play
heavy metal for 24 hrs, your brain and body functions start to slide, your
train of thought slows and your will is broken.2" In the end of
all this crazy way music used, just shows how powerful and useful music can be.
It can go from a pick-me-up, to and downer, and even a torture device. But the
main point is the affects it has on us and what we decide to use music for
whether it be for good or evil.
In conclusion
whether you are stressed out, having some health related issues, or even just
need some emotional relief, music is the best way to solve all your problems. Music
is a powerful weapon and should not be undermined, or taken advantage of in any
way. I t can be useful in helping you get out of a hard time in your life or to
help get ready for a big event in your life. It can also be used to help people
who may feel depressed, and even help with mental disorders such as remembering
easier and even brain activity. then we get to the dark side of music to wear
is can cause stress and make things worse. Also being used as a torture device
for the military to help keep our country safe from people who may want to harm
us. All in all we need to respect music for what it is and keep making music
better for all people. Hopefully heal people mentally and help people stay healthy
physically as well. Love music and it will show you things you could only dream
of.
